In 2007 the Norwood Park Township generously donated a new speed trailer to the Village of Norridge.  The trailer has many new and improved features over our old trailer.  The Village purchased the trailer from MPH Industries at a cost of $10,000.00.  You will see it placed around the Village in various locations, gathering speeding and traffic-related data.  The trailer itself has the following:

-18” High Visible Display

-Solar Charger

-Traffic Monitoring System

-Unobtrusive design

-Graffiti Resistant Finish

 

The Village of Norridge uses this trailer to control speeding problems without tying up an officer’s time.  The high intensity sign informs drivers of their speed in an effort to help reduce speed without having to issue a ticket.  Ideally, the trailer helps promote driver awareness.
